Hi there! I'm Sarah, also known as "Galaxara," a Copenhagen-based artist with roots in both Denmark and Argentina. My experience spans over 20 years, and my style has developed through the lens of both classic and contemporary nerdy movies, such as The NeverEnding Story, Blade Runner, and The Lord of the Rings. I'm a community person; deeply invested in both the artistic and role-playing communities, as I find inspiration in their passion for visual storytelling. I've volunteered for several events (J-Popcon, Genki conventions, LARP scenarios, and expat gatherings) to help them grow, as I want to give back what they have given me. I've created book illustrations, special effects, playing cards, workshops, and large-scale murals to enhance the experiences of various events. As for my art, I love portraying humans and fantastical creatures, usually with a strong color palette and a dreamlike ambiance. I find that pencil and watercolor translate these elements beautifully, though I've also delved into acrylics and digital tools in recent years. Whether in my personal projects or teaching, I utilize my skills to provide visual storytelling that expands people's mindsets and imaginations. I'm passionate about helping people find their artistic voice and making a positive impact on the world. When it comes to teaching, I primarily work with croquis and watercolor. I find them to be the best mediums for letting go of perfection and exploring ideas with more freedom and openness to whatever emerges on the canvas.
