For this Christmas special you'll get a hands-on introduction to the cyanotype printing process. We'll be making unique greeting cards, inspired by the season. Using pre-sensitized papers, you will get to make your own compositions for 4 greeting cards, using a mix of dried plants and items with interesting textures. You will learn how to expose the prints with a UV-light, as well as how to develop the prints in water. Cyanotype printing is a photographic process, invented in 1841, that uses iron-based chemicals, UV-light and water to create beautiful dark blue prints. It is easy, less toxic and less expensive than most other photographic print-making techniques. You don't need to have any previous experience, anyone can participate. A cup of gløgg (mulled wine) or tea is also included in the price. Unfortunately the venue is not wheelchair-friendly.
