Biography
Hi, I am Katrine. I am a self-taught artist specializing in interior design and crafts. With a passion for connecting the works of the spirit with the works of the hand, I have dedicated my career to the world of art. After a decade of serving as a minister and army chaplain, I made the decision to leave my previous profession and pursue my passion full-time.
In today's increasingly digital world, I firmly believe in the soothing power of connecting with physical materials. Working with clay and other mediums not only allows us to express our creativity but also provides a sense of solace for our minds.
Located in the vibrant south of Copenhagen, I offer workshops that take place in two unique settings. The first is our apartment situated on the 8th floor of the renowned Metropolis building. The second is my container studio, conveniently located just minutes away by the harbor. In these spaces, I guide my students in creating abstract sculptures using plaster or working with clay, which I subsequently fire and glaze.
As an artist and teacher, my ultimate goal is to nurture the creativity of others. I am dedicated to providing a supportive environment where individuals can explore their artistic potential and experiment with different techniques. This year, since transitioning to a full-time artist, I have already achieved significant milestones. I held my inaugural exhibition, experienced successful sales of my artwork, and forged collaborations with stylists and emerging gallerists.
Join me on this exciting journey of artistic exploration and self-discovery, as together, we unlock the boundless possibilities of creativity.
