Hello! I’m Sarah, a self-taught artist and Indoors Architect from the Dominican Republic, now residing in Denmark. After finishing my university studies I moved to Paris to study French and Fashion Illustration. I share a little piece of my soul with every painting I create. My mood is my inspiration. Once the lines, shapes, and colors start coming together, an idea for the motive takes form. I rarely know beforehand how the new artwork will shape and develop. It is exciting to stand in front of a white canvas. This high degree of unpredictability and impulse fascinates me and brings energy and dynamics into my art. Spontaneity lives! I create my paintings across multiple genres and with a constant desire to try new techniques and approaches. I work with a wide palette of materials/tools such as oil- and acrylic paint (my favorite), charcoal, and crayons on canvas. I do have a weakness for gold, which I use in different materials and structures; almost becoming a trademark in all my paintings. I have now exhibited my paintings in prestigious galleries, art fairs, and associations in Florence, Rome, Bologna, Milan, Venice in Italy, Paris, France, Alicante, Madrid, Austria, Sweden, and in Denmark where I live since 1993.
