About the Experience

Level: beginner

Type: workshop

Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the great outdoors at a nature photography workshop suitable for all skill levels. Ideal for those seeking a delightful summer afternoon activity, the workshop takes advantage of the extended daylight hours. This workshop will take place at Hareskoven, a large forest area located north of Copenhagen, offering a vast expanse of natural beauty. Exploring the outdoors brings a particular calmness to our minds, providing a refreshing feeling. Imagine capturing that feeling and bringing it back to your living room. It's not a magic trick; it's simply photography. Preserving a visual representation of your time in nature prolongs the feeling of tranquility. The challenge, however, lies in capturing photos that emanate that serene feeling. Often, nature scenes can appear peaceful in person but may look chaotic in a two-dimensional medium. So, how do we overcome this obstacle? I am Tobias, a professional photographer from Copenhagen with extensive experience in capturing the beauty of nature and landscapes. I will teach you how to compose stunning nature photos, elevating your snapshots into true works of photography. The techniques I share will depend on the type of photo you aim to capture. Throughout the workshop, I will guide you in setting up the perfect shot, covering lighting, composition, framing, and technical camera settings. Join us on a trip to Northern Zealand, where we will explore picturesque locations such as Tisvilde Hegn, Rågeleje, Hareskoven, and Gribskov. These workshop locations vary from workshop to workshop, allowing you to choose the one that excites you the most or participate in multiple workshops to refine your skills across different landscapes. The workshop you are currently viewing will take place in Hareskoven. What are the requirements? All you need for the workshop is a camera, whether it's a cell phone or a DSLR. The teachings will be tailored to your gear and photo ideas, ensuring that everyone learns something valuable. Additionally, we highly recommend wearing comfortable hiking shoes for our exploration. Meeting point? We will gather at Nørreport station in Copenhagen, right outside the 7/11 store near McDonald's. From there, we will travel together to the workshop location, usually by train. Please note that transportation is not included in the workshop ticket, so make your own arrangements prior to the workshop start time. A train ticket from Nørreport St. to Hareskov St. costs around DKK 30 and the journey typically takes around 30 minutes. We look forward to seeing you at our nature photography workshop, where you'll spend a few inspiring and creative hours together in nature! See you soon! Your Creative Host, Tobias.
