About the Experience

Level: beginner

Type: talk & workshop

Learn how to draw your favorite cars using just ballpoint pen! This drawing tool will let you explore working in a non-reversible manner (unlike the pencil!) aimed at allowing for more careful observation, analysis and precise lines resulting in an overall better quality drawing. Ballpoint pen is very versatile, readily available for affordable prices, and creates almost no mess! What you'll learn: - How to measure using a grid system. - How to observe and analyze any subject. - How to draw any form by breaking it down into basic shapes before adding dark lines or details. - How to use light lines and basic shapes to lay an accurate foundation for finished drawings. - How to hold the pen. - How to bring your drawings to life with detail and texture. Who this course is for: - Anyone wanting to learn to draw. Recommended for adults and determined teens. - Painters! The best way to improve your painting is by learning to draw. - Anyone interested in seriously pursuing art. Although this course in particular is designed for beginners, intermediate and advance drawers could sharpen their skills as well. What to bring: - Paper: it can be standard printing paper, but I recommend at least 180g paper. - Ballpoint pen: anything from black to colors, I personally like using the color red. Pilot, Muji, Zebra, Uni-Ball etc. My current ballpoint pen I'm using is MUJI OIL INK POLYCARBONATE BALLPOINT PEN 0.7MM.
